After discovering his wife of 8 years, Michaele Salahi, was having an affair with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, Tareq Salahi wasted no time filing for divorce and speaking to the media about the end of his marriage. In a new interview with E! News, Salahi says he was “blindsided” by Michaele’s apparent 2 year affair with Schon.
"I mean, Neal really should be ashamed of himself for doing this, this was a beautiful marriage we had, and I was just blindsided that it was going on for two years. I just had no idea,” says the former Real Housewives of D.C. star.
"Michaele used to always tell me that she would never want to date a rock star like Neal Schon, because of that lifestyle ... the lifestyle of, there's always cheating," Salahi said. "There's guys who are always doing these things backstage. She always told me, she never wanted to be associated with that."
He even compared Michaele’s new lifestyle to that of a “groupie slut.” “Michaele going on a tour bus with a rock band, that's like what a groupie sl-t does,” Salahi told E!.
What is most disturbing to Salahi is a nude picture Schon sent Michaele in an e-mail. Salahi opened the e-mail because it was sent to his main Oasis Winery account. "This was the lewdist, most disgusting thing I had seen,” he said.
Salahi filed for divorce last Friday citing adultery and abandonment.
