Ron Artest is disappointed he was the first star to be eliminated from season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. The Los Angeles Lakers star, who recently changed his name to Metta World Peace, spoke to reporters back stage after Tuesday’s results show and admitted he didn’t put in enough effort.
"I was having a great time and I was looking forward to learning a few dances, but I wish I would have put in a little more effort," he told People magazine "Years ago when I saw Dancing with the Stars, I didn't think I could ever do the show. And now that I'm here, I'm like, 'I wish I would have tried a little harder.'”
Although he is disappointed, World Peace said he has no hard feelings about being the first to go. “I’m a clown. I think I was maybe having too much fun. But, you know, somebody had to go early and first. Somebody had to go. But I had a blast. The cast is great, all the dancers. I met new people, new personalities. I got a chance to experience a new thing,” the 31-year-old told Access Hollywood.
As for who he is rooting for, World Peace said he is a fan of Chaz Bono, Nancy Grace and Carson Kressley. “I was happy to see Chaz [Bono] – Chaz did pretty good. He didn’t mess up. And then Nancy [Grace] did awesome, but Carson [Kressley] – he’s the total package. He’s amazing,” he added.
