Mission Implausible? Rumors have Tom Cruise marrying Katie Holmes later this year

To dispel the myth that TomKat were to become one this weekend Cruise’s spokesman stated the couple will tie the knot either later this summer or early autumn.

The two have been at the center of the media world since Tom proposed to Katie atop the Eiffel Tower last year. From that moment on the couple seems to have entered the realm of the bizarre. Tom’s intrinsic devotion to Scientology and the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard have drawn a wedge between the couple and her parents, both devout Catholics.

Throw their baby daughter Suri into the mix and you’ve got an episode of the Twilight Zone on your hands. Born April 18th Suri has yet to make a public appearance. According to the beliefs of Scientologists birth should take place in silence so as not to traumatize the infant. Suri will more than likely remain under wraps for some time until high level scientologists believe she is ready for the real world.

Although Katie’s parents have seen their grandchild it is doubtful they will attend the wedding ceremony. They have expressed a growing concern for their daughter’s involvement in Scientology and its deviation from the Catholic faith in which she was raised.
