Homeownership: The American Dream For Buyers Still Exists

Lisa Solomon,  radio show co-host of The Solomon Free Money Hour Real Estate Talk  Radio can now be heard Saturdays at noon on Angels AM 830 to take live calls about opportunities, incentives and proper mortgage advice in real estate.  "It is important that consumers have the tools and guidance to make an informed decision when acquiring real estate.  First-time home buyers who purchase homes between January 1, 2009 and December 1, 2009 qualify.  The maximum allowable credit for home buyers is $8,000. There are other factors that determine eligibility.  Many buyers continue to influence the market but there also is a seasonal rise of repeat buyers," says Solomon.

Record low mortgage interest rates boosted pending home sales for the third consecutive month, with some benefit now from the first-time buyer tax credit, according to the National Association of Realtors®. Existing home sales including single-family, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops – increased 2.9 percent in April of 2009.

“Home buyers are attracted to deeply discounted prices and are bidding up many foreclosed listings, which is why the buyer needs to understand what makes up a good deal," adds Solomon.

Hosted by Kerri Kasem, The Solomon Free Money Hour offers a fast-paced format that includes provocative experts, listener call-ins, field reports and a customized segment on local market conditions.
