Registered dietitian, Jayson Hunter reveals a healthy diet plan to keep your kids healthy and improve their overall fitness. He believes that with child obesity increasing every year, it is important that kids are encouraged to follow a healthy diet plan which will ensure good health for them in the future.
Hunter explains, “Nowadays, kids are hooked to junk food and video games or they just sit around the whole day watching TV. Healthy diet plans by default are designed to ensure that your child eats the right foods”. He adds, “Healthy diet plans not only ensure that kids eat right but they also make sure that kids learn right from a young age, which foods are good for them and which aren’t”.
Here is Hunter’s healthy diet plan for kids:
1) Try Popeye for motivation – If your kids love Popeye, then they will have no issues to include some green leafy vegetables like spinach in their healthy diet plan. Spinach is a wonderful source of many vitamins and minerals essential for the healthy growth of your child.
2) Almonds – Almonds are known to have numerous health benefits in particular for kids. Having a small handful of almonds everyday will give your kids the required nutrients they need.
3) Fruits – Not a favorite with many kids, but fruits are a ‘must have’ addition in a healthy diet plan for kids. Fruits such as oranges, pineapples, etc are a great source of antioxidants which will protect your kids from the harmful effects of pollution apart from many other health benefits.
