The Orlando Magic will host the Los Angeles Lakers for Game 3 of 2009 NBA Finals on Tuesday. The game will take place at 9 p.m. ET at Amway Arena and will broadcast on ABC.
The Lakers now have a 2-0 lead in the Finals series after winning Game 2, 101-96, in overtime. Only three teams have ever come back from a 2-0 deficit in the Finals to win the championship.
In Game 2, Kobe Bryant led LA with 29 points. Pau Gasol added 24 points and 10 rebounds. Bryant is averaging 35.5 points and six rebounds per game in the series.
Rashard Lewis led the Magic with a playoff career-high 34 points, 10 rebounds and a playoff career-high seven assists. Dwight Howard added 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Magic.
In Game 1, the Lakers routed the Magic, 100-75, en route to what LA hopes will be their 15th championship in franchise history. The Magic are seeking their franchise’s first championship in their second Finals series in history.
