Viverae’s Michael Nadeau Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award Finalist in Southwest Area North Region

Viverae, a leading, national provider of customized health management solutions, proudly announces that Michael Nadeau, chief executive officer, was named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2009 Award in the Southwest Area North region.  The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Nadeau was selected as a finalist from more than 70 nominations from Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas by a panel of independent judges.  The winners will be announced at a black-tie event on June 27, 2009, at the Majestic Theater in Dallas.

Nadeau founded Viverae, formerly Elite Wellness, in 2003, after identifying the need for accountability in the workplace to keep employees healthy and reduce corporate spending on health care.  Since inception, Nadeau has constantly evolved Viverae’s business model to stay ahead of the health care industry and clients’ ever-changing needs.

Today, Viverae helps employers of all sizes mitigate costs in response to out-of-control health care spending.  Viverae customizes health programs – from biometric screenings to insurance claims analysis to activity challenges – to help

employers and their employees identify health risks and take serious action to live healthier lives.

“I am truly honored to be named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” Nadeau said.  “There have been several moments throughout my career that have reminded me about my responsibilities as a business leader and entrepreneur, and this is certainly one of those humbling experiences.”

“Viverae has seen tremendous growth over the past few years, and I attribute this success to our dedicated and talented team members who share the mission behind the root of our name – simply, to help clients live well and benefit.”

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year.  The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world. Previous Southwest Area winners include Kenneth Cooper, Mark Cuban, Roger Staubach, Michael Dell, Herb Kelleher and Todd Wagner.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program.  Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
