Real Estate Franchise Moves Into Palm Beach, Florida

Exclusive Neighborhood Gets New Real Estate Shop Despite Weak Housing Market

Just a few hundred feet away from Worth Avenue, one of the world’s most exclusive shopping miles in Florida, Sheri and Paul Reback have opened their second Engel & Völkers shop. This is less than a year after they opened a real estate franchise shop for Engel & Völkers in North Palm Beach back in August 2008.

Around 120 international guests, including prospective clients and even Princess Wittgenstein, Head of Global Corporate Communication at Engel & Völkers in Hamburg attended the opening.

The relatively new town of Palm Beach has around 10,000 inhabitants and is located 60 miles north of Miami. It has gained a high-profile reputation as a playground for the super-rich. The annual per-capita income averages more than $109,000, while high land prices make the property market one of the most expensive in the world. Fans of Trump-style architecture and golfers at the Trump International Golf Club are completely in their element here. The area also is home many other well know brands such as Tiffany, Louis Vuitton and Cartier.

According to regional E&V co-owner Oliver Tonn, the Florida market is ideally suited for the Engel & Völkers real estate brand. “We have thousands of international clients that are looking for a second home in Florida during the cold winter months in Europe and with our strong European brand E&V is the first choice for many international buyers.”
