Academic Summer Camp Benefits Students of all Ages
SuperCamp’s academic summer camps are a great way for parents to add fun and enrichment to their teen’s lives during the summer months away from school. SuperCamp combines the best parts of a teen’s summer – fun, friends, activities, adventure, memories – and adds the element of life and learning skills to help them succeed both in the classroom and in their every day lives.
With summer fast approaching, parents from coast to coast are trying to make last-minute plans for their teens. SuperCamp is a program that will be entertaining for the student as well as give parents peace of mind.
SuperCamp caters to students from middle school through college. Quantum U, one of SuperCamp’s most innovative programs, is an 8-day college summer camp specially-designed for college-bound students to make the transition into college. By helping students develop practical life and learning skills, Quantum U helps set students up for success in college and in their future careers.
For students going into grades 6 – 8, Junior Forum is a program where kids discover their individual learning styles and develop skills for dealing with a heavier academic schedule. They also learn how to navigate the awkwardness of the pre-teen years by participating in “real-life” activities that enable them to make responsible choices and win the support, understanding and guidance of teachers and parents.
SuperCamp’s Senior Forum teen summer camps are designed for students entering grades 9 – 12 in the fall. The purpose of Senior Forum is to encourage participants to learn how to make the most of every moment, uncover their unique abilities, and develop greater confidence, while mastering strategies for academic success, which all prepares them for the transition into college.
The skills campers learn at SuperCamp help them to ease school stress, build study skills, and improve grades and increase test scores, including the SAT and ACT. The life skills courses show students ways to discover their strengths, pursue goals, make big decisions, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
Parents can also benefit from SuperCamp through the Parent Weekend program, where parents of enrolled students can learn some of what their kids are discovering at camp. This enables parents to better support their children throughout the school year both academically and personally.
