Shooting at Washington’s Holocaust Museum Leaves at least Two Wounded

A man carrying a rifle entered Washington D.C.’s Holocaust Museum shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday and immediately shot a security guard before a second security guard returned fire and struck the gunman.

 

The Holocaust Museum has been surrounded by police and rescue teams and the gunman has been taken into custody, his condition is unknown. The security guard’s condition is not known at this time.

 

In addition to the police presence at the Holocaust Museum the FBI’s terrorism task force has arrived and are carrying out their own investigation into the shooting.
