Guard in Holocaust Museum Shooting Dies

A security guard wounded in a shooting at the US Holocaust Museum in Washington has died of his injuries. The guard was identified as Stephen Tyrone Johns.

Johns suffered a gunshot wound when a lone gunman, identified as 88-year-old James von Brunn, entered the museum at 12:50 pm Wednesday and began shooting his rifle. Brunn exchanged gunfire with two other guards and was shot.

Brunn and Johns were taken to the George Washington Memorial Hospital. Brunn’s is listed in critical condition.

The museum released a statement saying Johns died “heroically in the line of duty.”  “There are no words to express our grief and shock over these events. He served on the Museum's security staff for six years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Johns' family. We have made the decision to close the Museum tomorrow in honor of Officer Johns, and our flags will be flown at half mast in his memory,” the statement said.

Brunn is described as a white supremacist and neo-Nazi. He previously served 6 years in federal prison for attempted kidnapping, assault and firearms charges. On his website, Holy Western Empire, the WWII veteran says the charges were a result of “legal, nonviolent citizen’s arrest” of members of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. He goes on to explain that he was “convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge.”

Brunn describes the website “a new, hard-hitting exposé of the Jew conspiracy to destroy the white gene-pool.”
