“Serial Shooter” case leads to two arrests in Phoenix

Over the past two years Phoenix residents have been in the cross hairs of a serial killer. Having been dubbed the “Serial Shooter”, six citizens have died as a result of gunshot wounds attributed to the indiscriminate assassin with dozens more injured.

Late Thursday night two men were arrested in Mesa, Arizona in connection to the killings and were taken to the Phoenix police headquarters. Reports are that one man is being held as the shooter while the other man is the alleged driver in the shooting spree.

Early Friday police were seen carrying out firearms from the apartment where the arrests were made. A vehicle was being removed from the site as well.

The “Serial Shooter” is believed to be responsible for the recent death of Robin Blasnek. The 22 year-old woman was walking to her boyfriend’s house Sunday night when she was gunned down.

Phoenix is in the grips of a second serial killer known as the Baseline Killer. So named for the street the original crimes began, the killer has been linked to the deaths of seven women and one man and the sexual assault of 11 women and girls over the past year.
