Drug Rehab Program To Help Florida Addicts

With successful drug rehab, Narconon Suncoast will help decrease number of overdose deaths in the state of Florida.

According to recent statistics from the White House Drug Policy, the state of Florida had 398 overdose deaths from cocaine usage in 2007. This is down significantly from the previous year, where the state experienced 829 deaths as a result of cocaine abuse. Cocaine, the number one drug of choice in Florida, is highly available throughout the state.  Drug trafficking organizations from areas like Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando and Jacksonville continue to move the drug throughout the area making ample supplies available to the hundreds of people, who are becoming newly addicted each month.

While cocaine continues to be the most widely abused drug in Florida, the increased abuse of other drugs throughout the state are shocking to many Florida residents. Some of the other common drugs of abuse in Florida currently on the rise, include heroin, methamphetamine and pharmaceutical drugs.  Of these, pharmaceutical drugs are causing more deaths throughout the state than cocaine alone.

Just in Hernando County alone, there was a 21% increase in drug related deaths in 2008, with 47 people losing their lives as a result of drug addiction according to the Hernando County Medical Examiner’s office.  In addition, the Hernando County Sheriff’s office reports that there was a 300% increase in prescription drug fraud in 2008 and a 33% increase in pharmacy robberies throughout the area.

The real problem is that all these addiction statistics lead  to only 3 inevitable ends for addicts; rehab, jail or death.  Of those endings, drug rehab is the most viable solution to this problem.

One program that understands the need for successful drug rehab in the state of Florida and Hernando County is Narconon Suncoast, also known as Suncoast Rehabilitation Center. The center recently opened its doors to help the residents of Florida get effective treatment within the state. Narconon Suncoast achieves a more that 70% success rate for permanent recovery treating all types of addictions.

According to their web-site at www.suncoastrehabcenter.com, the Narconon Suncoast drug and alcohol rehabilitation program understands that getting of drugs and/or alcohol can be very difficult for an individual, and if left unhandled can progressively get worse. The Narconon program can intervene and help successfully rehabilitate the individual before it’s too late.
