Donte Stallworth Gets 30 Days in Jail for DUI Case

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth pleaded guilty Tuesday to manslaughter while driving under the influence. As part of a plea deal, Stallworth received only 30 days in jail, 2 years of house arrest and 8 years of probation. He is also ordered to pay $10,000 in fines and perform 1,000 hours of community service.

Stallworth was arrested March 14 in Miami after he hit and killed 59-year-old construction worker Mario Reyes. The football star was driving his Bentley GT couple when he hit Reyes as the crane operator walked across the MacArthur Causeway. Stallworth’s blood alcohol level measured at 0.126.

Stallworth has also reached a confidential civil settlement with Reyes’ family.
