A captain on a Continental flight died midflight Thursday.
The continental flight was flying from Brussels, Belgium, to Newark, New Jersey
carrying 247 passengers when the 61-year-old pilot died “apparently of natural
causes.”
A relief pilot took over the Boeing 777. Federal Aviation
Administration spokeswoman Arlene Salac said Continental Flight 61 would receive
priority when it arrives as Newark International Airport around noon.
The identity of the deceased pilot has not been released.
He had worked for Continental for 21 years. No other details were available.
