Weather Trends International Expands Global Client Support Team

Weather Trends International announced today the hiring of three additional full time employees as the company continues to experience rapid revenue growth both domestically and internationally despite the continued tough global economic climate.  “We have been very fortunate in 2009 to experience significant year-over-year profitable revenue growth of 266% with 12% of business now coming from outside the U.S. This has necessitated the expansion of our global support team which includes two business meteorologists and additional sales-marketing support”, said Bill Kirk, CEO Weather Trends International.

Rita Kasat joins the team as Director, Global Sales & Marketing.  She will primarily focus on business development and international support for our growing global commodity division.  Rita has an extensive 18-year marketing career in both the financial services and internet banking industries.  She earned her B.S. with a dual major in Economics & Marketing from West Chester University, and she holds an MBA from Drexel University.

Kristina Klinger will serve as International Business Meteorologist.  Kristina has worked as a meteorologist at Accu-Weather and Southwest Airlines where she assisted the Chief Meteorologist to prepare daily operational forecasts for the airline.  Kristina has a B.S. degree in Meteorology from Penn State University.

Rick Dunkelberger joins the team as Business Applications Meteorologist.  He also graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. degree in Meteorology and concentration in Weather Risk Management.

“Weather Trends global year-ahead forecasting capabilities combined with the online MYskeye.com and WeatherProfit.com web portals offer global clients something very unique in the weather services marketplace.  Our suite of tools provide actionable guidance to companies with financial and operational exposure to global weather patterns.  Our services benefit groups ranging from commodity traders and food manufacturers, to retailers, and humanitarian relief organizations.  We have received hundreds of resumes for these job openings, and clearly have selected the best of the best with these new team members”, said Michael Ferrari, PhD Vice President Applied Technology and Commodity Research.
