Wife of PGA Star Chris Smith Killed in Car Accident

The wife of professional golfer Chris Smith was reportedly killed in a car accident Sunday. According to reports, Beth Smith was traveling with her two children in an SUV on Interstate 69 near Angola, Indiana when the vehicle collided with a Greyhound bus transporting a Canadian semipro football team.

Police say an occupant of the SUV was killed. The Smith’s children, Abigail and Cameron, were listed in critical condition at Fort Wayne’s Lutheran Hospital. Twelve others suffered minor injuries. No other details were available.

Smith has competed on the PGA Tour since 1991. He won the 2002 PGA Tour Buick Classic.
