A NATO truck transporting fuel from Pakistan to forces in Afghanistan was ambushed and set on fire Tuesday. Muhammad Khalil, a police official in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, said a group of armed assailants stopped the truck near the provincial capital of Quetta. They set it on fire before fleeing the scene.
Meanwhile, an attack on a passenger bus traveling outside Quetta left 14 people dead. All of the dead were Shia Muslims. Lashkar e Jhangvi, a Sunni militant group, claimed responsibility for the attack. Authorities have arrested 8 people in connection with the incident.
