Dwyane Wade’s 26 paces the U.S., cruise past China in game two of the FIBA World Championship.

The U.S. is now tied with Italy atop Group D play after smothering China and improving to 2-0 in the World Championships. The 121-90 victory was never in doubt as the American’s raced to a 63-38 lead at the half.

Wade’s 26 lead all scorers while Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard contributed 16 each. Chris Paul’s 13 and LeBron James, Joe Johnson and Elton Brand totaled 11 each to round out the balanced offensive attack by the U.S.

Much like their first performance against Puerto Rico the U.S. used swarming defense to spur their offensive. Forcing the Chinese to commit 25 turnovers, the U.S. outscored their opponent 20-3 off the forced errors.

Dwight Howard pulled down 11 rebounds for the U.S. to give him his second straight double-double in the tournament.

Yao Ming led all Chinese scorers with 21 points but was hounded all night by the aggressive U.S. defense.

The Americans will put their 2-0 record on the line Tuesday when they face Slovenia in Group D preliminary action. The top four teams advance out of the group of six teams.
