Eddie Cibrian was reportedly rushed to a Chicago hospital Tuesday night after injuring his foot on the set of NBC’s recently canceled series The Playboy Club. The Chicago Sun-Times reports Cibrian’s right foot became caught under a 200-lb. steel door, resulting in a deep gash on his heel. Cibrian was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment. Cibrian, who is married to country singer LeAnn Rimes, has not commented.
NBC canceled The Playboy Club on Tuesday after just three episodes. Filming on the series will continue because NBC hopes to sell it to another network. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who narrated parts of the show, said a “more adult audience” should have been targeted.
“I’m sorry NBC’s ‘The Playboy Club’ didn’t find it’s audience. It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience,” Hefner Tweeted Tuesday.
