New England Sports Museum inducts basketball hall of fame member Sam Jones

New England Sports Museum inducts basketball hall of fame member Sam Jones.  June 23, 2009 will be a day to remember for the Jones family as Sam will be entered into the New England Sports Museum.  Sam will be surrounded by friends and family including the legendary center Bill Russell who will be traveling cross country to celebrate with Sam. 

Sam will also be celebrating his 76th birthday on the 24th. The number 24 is a special number as it is Sam's jersey number.

Sam won ten NBA titles In 12 seasons, made five All-Star teams and was second team All-NBA three straight years in a row.  He was also named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history.  With all of his accomplishments he remains a very humble and gracious individual.

He credits his team mates with his success and has stayed friendly with many of them throughout the decades.
