International Drug Rehab Supports United Nations Office on Drugs

Narconon drug rehab celebrates international drug free day.

The United Nations Office on Drugs (UNODC), runs an international campaign on raising awareness on drug use and abuse, especially amongst the youth of the world. They are promoting the campaign, ‘Do drugs control your life?  Your life. Your community.  No place for drugs.’  The international network of Narconon drug rehabs and drug prevention centers will be rallying together on June 26 to support this message.  The whole world needs to know the effects of drugs should concern us all.  Many people are oblivious to what actually happens when a person is suffering from a drug addiction.  Some communities do not see the violence drug trafficking and selling can bring.  Countries feel the impact everyday in some way due to drug use and the crimes that comes with it.

Drug use and abuse can control the person, drug crops and drug cartels control farmers, and drug trafficking and crime can control communities.  This is the reality of drug abuse in today’s world.  Young people today are some of the most vulnerable to the impact of drugs and drug related crime.  Teen drug use is on the rise throughout most of the world, and most of the teens that start using drugs were just experimenting with them.  Due to low self esteem, life problems, and just a complete lack of information, these teens start using these drugs on a regular basis without really knowing the full impact the drugs will have on their life.  Most teens are not fully aware of the health risks involved in illicit drug use.

The UNODC campaigns are designed to reach out to young people who are caught in the cycle if addiction, and only seem to be talking about the highs that drugs bring, and not talking about the depressive lows that will come.  The facts are available out there, and the Narconon drug education and prevention network has been helping get that message out for over 40 years.  The international network has helped educate millions about the harmful effects of drugs.  The Narconon drug rehab program has helped save the lives of thousands of individuals from drug and alcohol addiction, and is continuing to do so on a daily basis.  For information about how to save someone from drug addiction, call the Narconon drug rehab toll free line at, 1-877-782-7409.
