In an effort to support continued growth and expansion of services within the legal industry, Lawrence A. Kushnick, managing partner of Kushnick & Associates, P.C., announced that the firm will be changing its name to Kushnick Pallaci PLLC. The change follows the election of Vincent T. Pallaci, who has been with the firm since 2006, as partner.
The name change reflects the company’s commitment as a premier New York law firm within the construction industry. The firm provides high-quality legal service and represents owners, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, design professionals, architects, engineers, surveyors, municipalities, manufacturers, installers, and suppliers, in all aspects of construction disputes and claims. With offices in Melville, NY, the firm is dedicated to the practice of construction, commercial and real estate litigation and arbitration. “This move was the logical step in the continued growth of our firm,” Kushnick said. “Kushnick & Associates, P.C. has become a well-known and respected member of the Long Island and New York communities. Pallaci has been an integral part in the firm's growth. He has represented general contractors, developers, owners, construction managers, project managers and subcontractors in a wide variety of disputes including defective construction, delay claims, scope of work disputes and lien enforcement actions. He has also successfully represented clients in arbitration and mediation as well as State and Federal litigation. His specialties include construction and design contract drafting and negotiation as well as the preparation and review of mechanic’s liens and lien waivers. He is a member of many professional associations including the New York State Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce and has lectured and written more than 100 articles on construction law related topics including loss mitigation strategies and effective payment recovery options.
The firm was founded by Larry Kushnick to serve as an effective legal partner to its clients. Kushnick, who was selected as one of the 2010 New York Super Lawyers, is a frequent lecturer within the construction industry and to legal professionals and is a prior adjunct faculty member of Long Island University C.W. Post Campus.
