Rugged Men’s Lingerie Proving Popular on Body Body

Offbeat Gifts and Professional Entertainer Wear Find Niche Audience

Online retailer BodyBody.com reports outrageous new styles to its men’s innerwear line from the sleek European designer Rimba are selling briskly. Men’s panties include novelty items like the Elephant G String and camouflage thongs. Other styles include thongs and g strings in red, black, white and blue. Shocking sheer, front zip, front string and bare back panties are also available for shoppers seeking unique designs. The Rimba lingerie joins the Body Body family of men’s innerwear that includes the basics from Hanes and entertainer classics from California Exotics.

Rimba was founded in September 1971. It is based in a city called Etten Leur, situated in the south of The Netherlands. The former president was a successful businessman who at that time was marketing exclusive perfumes. By coincidence, he discovered the demand for Leather and all kinds of Bondage articles, as well as sexy panties, erotic underwear and other erotic products. After research among Dutch Sex Shop owners he developed a small erotic collection and started to market it. The collection was enthusiastically received and Rimba started production. By continual research, more and more articles were added to the collection. In the 70s there were not so many competitors in the market so Rimba expanded quickly. The founder of Rimba also looked past the boarders of The Netherlands to find new sexy lingerie outlets in Europe. In a short time new clients were found in Germany, Switzerland and France. In 1991 Rimba moved into new headquarters and the founder's son took over the business.

Long known as a leader in women’s lingerie and swimwear including DDD bathing suits, Body Body has aggressively entered the men’s clothing market, specializing in hard to find and novelty items as well as everyday wear such as T shirts and jeans. Rimba’s established position in the men’s lingerie and Body Body’s already successful inclusion of Rimba women’s lingerie makes for a natural product fit.

“Sexy men’s lingerie is definitely a specialized niche,” states Ranowear President and CEO, Willis Domingo. “But a large male population in the entertainment field and really every walk of life appreciates the opportunity to wear something a little different .”
