Attorney Gary Newland Helps Organize Seminar Sponsored by Civil Law Committee of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association

The Civil Law Committee of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association is sponsoring a seminar on Medicare Set Asides, Conditional Payments, Liens and Rights to Reimbursement as well as O.B.R.A. Trusts. The lecture will be worth 3 hours of Illinois continuing education credits.

The Committee chairmen Michael Rothmann and Gary A. Newland have brought together some of the leaders on the topics.

Larry Kream of the Law Offices of Lawrence Kream will be speaking on Dealing with Liens and claimed rights of reimbursement in personal injury cases. Mr. Kream will inform those attending on the rights of reimbursement of hospitals, care givers, Medicare and Medicaid. Mr. Kream is an experienced trial attorney.

Amy Bilton of the Law firm of Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie and Lowry will also be speaking. Ms. Bilton was asked to speak because of her experience in Medicare issues such as Conditional Payments, Medicare Set Asides, Section 111 and Beyond. She will also explain how to advocate within the Medicare /CMS process. Ms. Bilton is highly respected in by both Respondents and Petitioners for unique knowledge. She will be advising on Workers' Compensation as well personal injury cases.

Ronald Runkle with Ronald Runkle & Associates will be speaking on Medicare and Medicaid related issues. He will go over the O.B.R.A. Trust and how it can help injured clients maintain their disability benefits in light of a settlement and how the O.B.R.A. Trust can be used by those that represent the injured.

The seminar is open to attorneys of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association as well as lawyers throughout the country.
