Michael Jackson "Near Death" After Suffering Cardiac Arrest

Michael Jackson is reportedly "near death" after suffering a cardiac arrest Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Jackson is hospitalized after an ambulance responded to a call from his Holmby Hills home at 12:21 pm PT. Jackson is in “really bad shape,” an unspecified family member told TMZ, while Jackson’s father Joe told the site, “He is not doing well.”

Jackson is in the Los Angeles area for rehearsals for his upcoming 50-show This Is It! run of concerts at London’s O2 Arena.

Reports from TMZ say that Jackson has died, but no other news reports have reported that he is dead.
