Dwight Howard Unsure if He Will Leave Orlando

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard is still unsure about where he wants to be when and if the NBA season starts. In a recent interview with Esquire magazine Howard, who will become a free agent next year, explained that he felt he was "stuck in a tough position." He has a lot of love for Orlando, the place where he has spent his entire career, but wants to play in a bigger market.

Howard acknowledged that it is nice to be a wanted player with people from all around the league trying to get him on their team, but that it would be hard to leave Orlando because he knows how passionate the fans are about the team. Yet while the city of Orlando may have passion, Howard says, "There's more you can do in a bigger place. I'm stuck in a tough position because I feel like right now, where I'm at, I've done so much. And I just don't know what else I can do. I can't live for everybody else."

When discussing his coach with the Magic, Stan Van Gundy, he said that though he liked him off the court, his coaching style didn't go well with Howard's personality. Howard said that Van Gundy would yell a lot, and that isn't the way that he wanted to lead. As a result he had to find other ways to motivate the team and struggle to find positivity in the situation.
