The Help star Viola Davis recently became a mom! Davis and her husband Julian Tennon have adopted a baby boy named Genesis, a rep for the actress confirms.
The news was first revealed by Davis’ close friend Octavia Spencer. Spencer let it slip that Davis became a mom “like, two days ago” during a speech at an ELLE Women event on Monday. Genesis is the first child for Davis, 46, and the third for Tennon, who has two children from a previous relationship.
Davis and Tennon announced their plans to adopt at the August premiere of The Help. "We don't have any children [together], but we're about to adopt a baby," Tennon said at the time.
