Fiery tanker crash leaves San Francisco highway closed

All southbound lanes of Highway 101 in San Francisco are closed after a tanker crashed and caused a fiery blaze to erupt.

The crash occurred around 5am. Officer Tony Tam of the California Highway Patrol stated that a tanker and three other individuals were involved in the collision. The driver of the tanker and another female driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. The exact cause of the accident is unknown at this time. Whether an individual is the plaintiff or the defendant, their case will benefit from a truck accident attorney, who specializes in these types of cases.

The cab of the tanker erupted in a blaze shortly after the collision and also took out a large section of the guard-rail that became loose and dropped on the streets below. Fire crews have managed to put out the blaze.

Officials initially believed that the tanker contained fuel, but have since discovered that it is actually a container truck that may contain grain.

Authorities estimate that the highway will be closed until 12 pm, Pacific time.

The damages caused to the highway and other vehicles will become very costly to repair or replace. A truck accident lawyer will work to assure that costs incurred in large truck accidents are covered, especially if driver’s negligence caused the accident.

The circumstances surround large truck accident can be very different from passenger vehicle accidents. Truck accident attorneys have specialized knowledge and are very capable of working on these kinds of cases.
