Lindsay Lohan Goes Back To Jail

Lindsay Lohan’s legal troubles continued Wednesday when she was taken into custody during a court hearing on her probation in a theft case. Sheriff’s deputies handcuffed Lohan and took her to a nearby jail after a Judge Stephanie Saunter revoked her probation for repeatedly missing appointments to complete community service with the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles. Lohan’s absence eventually resulted in the center terminating her.

“Ms. Lohan’s actions deliberately made it impossible for her to perform her sentence at the Downtown Women’s Center,” Saunter said.

Lohan was sentenced to 3 years of probation and 360 hours of community service after pleading no contest to misdemeanor theft earlier this year. Judge Saunter gave her 1 year to complete the community service. “A year is a generous amount of time and the way I can count, she’s got 57 out of those 60 days left to do,” Judge Saunter said Wednesday.

Bail was set at $100,000. If Lohan posts bail, she must complete 16 hours of service at the morgue before her next hearing on November 2. “That’s two days a week between now and the hearing date,” Saunter added.

Reps for Lohan have not commented.
