French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy have welcomed their first child together. Le Figaro reports Bruni-Sarkozy was gave birth to a baby girl Wednesday evening around 8 o’clock. Mom and baby are currently resting at Clinque del la Muette in Paris. No other details, including the baby’s name, were released.
The baby is the fourth child for Sarkozy and the second for Bruni-Sarkozy. Sarkozy, 56, has three sons from two previous marriages while Bruni-Sarkozy is mom to a son from a previous marriage. The couple announced the pregnancy in July.
