Queens Man Lands Van on Boat While Fleeing the Scene of an Accident

A man who was attempting to flee the scene of an accident managed to crash the van he was driving onto a boat.

The unidentified driver was driving a van owned by Queensboro Adult Daycare when he side swiped a vehicle while he was driving east bound on the Belt Parkway, according to the New York Post.

The ride came to a halt when the van crashed through a fence on Russell Street in Howard Beach. His van landed on top of a moored boat near 102nd street.

When police arrived they found the man inside the van which was hanging of the pier. He was notably shaken when police pulled him out of the van around 9am. He was taken to Jamaica Queens Hospital where he is in stable condition.

The police have not charged the man yet. They also stated that he did not appear to be intoxicated.

Unlike many accidents this one did not wind up causing serious injuries to any person. Accidentlawyers represent many clients who sustain severe injuries as a result of collisions. Proving that another driver’s carelessness caused harm is crucial when an accident attorney is seeking compensatory damages.

Even when there aren’t personal injuries, the property damage can be very expensive.  An accident attorney will make certain that their clients are reimbursed by the negligent party or their insurance companies.
