Which smartphone on the market today has the best camera?
Is it the Iphone 4S or the HTC Amaze 4G?
The Competitors HTC Amaze 4G
I have been using the HTC Amaze 4G for almost two weeks and am trying to hold out buying one for myself until I see a Nokia Windows Phone. Like the myTouch 4G Slide before it, the HTC Amaze 4G is likely the best camera phone HTC has ever made. The Amaze 4G has an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and the most full featured software suite available on a smartphone today.
You will find the following scene modes on the HTC Amaze 4G, along with dedicated camera and video recording buttons:Whether you’re snapping photos or shooting stunning 1080p HD video, capturing and sharing with this smartphone is a snap. With the dedicated Instant On button, your camera is ready to start taking photos or shooting video with just a touch.
• SmartShot™ - takes 5 photos and compiles the best parts to create one perfect shot. • BurstShot™ - capture 5 consecutive shots with just one click, so you never miss the action. • SweepShot™ panorama - take ultrawide shots then sweep in any direction. • ClearShot™ HDR - see crystal clear detail even when shooting in mixed or direct light. • Perfect Pics™ - analyzes & scores your photos then groups the best ones for easy sharing! The excerpt above is from Zdnet and T-Mobile Wireless

For average joe schmos like me, I really have no idea of jpeg compression or care. I just looks at my pics and compares dem to other pics from other phones. And these pics are nice. I especially love the built in panoramic shot function (yes, I know you can get an app for that on iOS), and the ability to just immediately get into either the camera or camcorder and take a pic/video by just pressing the dedicated buttons.
I am also not a super big user of over the air data (try to get near wifi as much as possible) so I only have the 2GB (before throttle) plan from T-Mobile, which ends up being about $10 cheaper per month than on the other networks. So after just a year, I've saved $120. Even if I paid $199 on Wirefly, in the end I only "paid" $80 compared to if I got another premium smart phone on God forbid Verizon or AT&T, who nickel and dime you for everything. Plus T-Mobile will unlock your phone after 40 days.

"I highly recommend this phone. (I still use my i-pod touch too, so I have the best of both worlds!)"
