U.S. Congress Prepares to Vote on Climate Change Bill Aiming to Reduce Emissions

The United States Congress is preparing to vote on a controversial climate change bill that would put tougher restrictions on emissions and move the country toward a greater reliance on renewable energy sources.

While U.S. President Barack Obama has said the Clean Energy and Security Act would “open the door to a new, clean economy” critics have claimed that move would result in the loss of thousands of jobs, increase taxes on individuals and raise prices.
