Country music legend Loretta Lynn was forced to cancel weekend shows in Kentucky and North Carolina while she received treatment for pneumonia. According to a statement on her official website, Lynn was diagnosed with “the beginning stages of pneumonia,” but is “doing well.”
"Loretta regretfully must cancel her shows ... for this weekend, due to illness," the statement said, adding that the 76-year-old “feels confident she will be ready for upcoming November dates.”
Lynn was briefly hospitalized for treatment in Kentucky and is now resting comfortably at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She is expected to resume performing on November 3 in Knoxville, Tennessee. No other details were released.
