Phoenix based SEO company Dynamic Search have set themselves
above the competition by providing a service that will specifically target
search engine optimization for Bing as well as the standard SEO approach to
racing to the top of Google.
There are several reason why SEO companies need to pay close attention to the
rise of Bing. For a long time now, Bing doubters have written off its chances
of affecting Google's dominance. However, these latest statistics prove that
doubters need to re-evaluate their stance on the issue. As one of the leading SEO Arizona companies, Dynamic Search
understand that it is imperative to pay close attention to Bing's user
activity. One of the key factors in the future growth of Bing may be their
affiliation with social networking giant Facebook. Whilst Google have chosen to
resist Facebook, Bing have embraced it, factoring Facebook 'Likes' directly
into search engine ranking. Google have chosen to launch their own social
networking website Google+ in an attempt to overthrow Facebook.
Most people are only likely to be able to name ten searches engines at the
most. However, there are thousands of search engines on the internet. They
cater to specific content and specific countries. Not all of them are
trustworthy or reliable, and most are not worth mentioning. The top three
search engines that most people will have heard of and used are Bing, Yahoo and
Google. Together, those three search engines account for almost 95% of all
online searches conducted in the US.
Yahoo is the oldest of the three, as it was founded by 1994. Google was founded
four years later in 1998. Bing is the newest, having replaced Microsoft's Live
Search brand in 2009. In the early days of the internet Yahoo was the most
popular and widely used search engine, however, in the year 2000 it started
using Google's engine to power its searches. It now uses Microsoft Bing's
engine which means that really there are only two top search engines.
Google is the clear and dominant market leader at this point in time. It was
recently reported by Experian Hit wise that as of August 2011 Google was
responsible for almost 65% of the US Search Engine Market Share alone. The word
Google has even become an acceptable verb; I.e. “to Google” and in 2006 it was
entered in to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Worryingly for Google, recent
reports show that Google's usage over the last six months has been
consecutively dropping by 1% whilst Bing's usage has been increasing by an impressive
3% each month. The same Experian Hit wise report shows that Bing powered
searches have now crossed the 30% mark in the US. This may not sound like a lot
when compared to Google, but it is the rate of growth which is key. In March
2011 Bing search ratio was under 15%, so to break 30% by August is an
impressive achievement. If that growth continues at the same rate then it could
give Google real problems in 2012.
