Ana Ivanovic continued her pursuit for a second career Grand Slam singles title on Saturday after knocking off Samantha Stosur in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 to advance into the fourth round at Wimbledon.
Ivanovic used a dominating serve to set the pace for the match as she placed 74 percent of her first offerings in play and won 79 percent of those while collecting five aces. The Serb also broke Stosur on four of eight opportunities while seeing her own service game snatched just once.
Ivanovic won her first Grand Slam singles title in 2008 when she beat Dinara Safina at the French Open. She reached the finals at Roland Garros in 2007 but fell to Justine Henin and she has managed to reach the finals at the Australian Open in 2008 but lost to Maria Sharapova. Her best finish at Wimbledon was a semi-finals appearance in 2007.
