Pedestrian Accident News: A group of three girls crossing an intersection on Camino Eldorado were struck by a car last Friday evening. One of the girls, Mia Decker, 6, was taken to the hospital and was put on life support but died Monday. Now the family and community members are calling for want of changes.
The girls were leaving a park to head home when they were struck by a 78 year old woman in the intersection. According to reports the driver failed to stop when she saw another car stopped at the intersection. Two other girls were injured but they did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
The three little girls were escorted through the intersection by two thirteen year old girls. People who live in the community say that despite the signs and crosswalk the intersection is dangerous.
