Andy Rooney has been hospitalized after suffering “serious complications” from minor surgery, according to CBS. The 92-year-old is in stable condition. No other details, including the nature of the complications and where Rooney is hospitalized, were released.
Rooney left 60 Minutes earlier this month after 33 years with the program. He announced his retirement in his 1097th essay. "There's nobody like Andy and there never will be. He'll hate hearing this, but he's an American original. His contributions to 60 Minutes are immeasurable; he’s also a great friend,” 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager said in a statement.
