Andy Murray remained in line for his first career Grand Slam singles title after crushing Viktor Troicki in straight sets 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 on the grass courts of Wimbledon on Saturday, moving into the fourth round at the All England Club and setting up a possible showdown with Roger Federer in the finals.
Murray simply overwhelmed Troicki as he hammered out 17 aces while committing just one double fault in the match that lasted a quick 1 hour and 36 minutes. Troicki only had one break point opportunity in the entire match and he failed to capitalize on that while Murray managed to break the Serb four times.
Murray has yet to capture a Grand Slam singles title yet he reached the finals at the 2008 U.S. Open where he fell to Roger Federer. He reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon last year before being dismissed by Rafael Nadal and he reachd the quarterfinals of the 2009 French Open where he lost to Fernando Gonzalez.
