Summer time is grilling time. So, fire up the barbecue and gather family and friends at delicious outdoor meals. For some char-cooking wizardry, add fish to your traditional fare. The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television taps Chef Jeremy Hanlon for tips on grilling fish, which he says “is easier than it seems.” The segment airs July 2nd and in the weeks that follow.
The show is part of the “Tribute to the American Family” series, and Chef Hanlon walks one of our viewers through the fish grilling process to demonstrate its ease and simplicity.
“With Sea Best Seafood, you don’t have to run to the fish market to find tempting seafood. The nearly 60-year-old company has varieties by the score from all over the world, available at your local supermarket.”
Chef Hanlon discusses the advantage of frozen fish. “With fresh seafood, the quality is hit or miss. But with products from Sea Best, you’re sure of mouth-watering flavor every time.”
What’s good for grilling? Salmon is amazingly versatile. Barbecued salmon with a tangy sauce is a delicious selection. Or cook it up with a side of rice, the chef says as he turns a salmon steak on the grill.
“MMM, I love it,” says Mom, taking a bite of the golden delight.
“Ahi tuna with onions or a glaze of sun-dried tomatoes is wonderful,” says the chef. “Or cook up barbecued sea trout with a sauce of grapefruit, ginger and shallots.”
“Grilled fish has other added bonuses, too. It’s healthy, and it cooks up fast.”
“Tasty, quick and good for you,” says the chef. “Get out there and mix things up on the grill this summer with seafood.”
“I’ll second that motion,” says Doug Campbell, Executive Vice President of Programming, BrandStar Entertainment, the producers of The Balancing Act. “Fish adds a new dimension to backyard grilling.”
