The Philadelphia Eagles had not been playing like the Dream Team, as Vince Young dubbed them early in the season. They struggled to a 2-4 record while looking sloppy and poorly coached. The Cowboys went into Sunday nights game at 3-3 but backed by many pundits suggesting they were on the brink of a break out season.
When the game ended last night the Eagles left their field with a convincing win. The Cowboys defense had no answer for LeSean McCoy running the ball. He had 185 yards and 2 touchdowns while running every which way around and through the Cowboys line. Michael Vick, who has looked pedestrian for the majority of the year, threw for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns to make the final score 34-7.
The Cowboys were forced to play from behind early in the game, which limited their ability to exploit the Eagles soft run defense. DeMacro Murray, who had 253 yards last week, was only given the ball eight times and managed to get 74 yards.
The Eagles defense was able to stop the Cowboys aerial attack as well. Tony Romo was hurried throughout much of the night and receiver Dez Bryant was unable to get involved until late in the game. He finished with only 3 catches for 28 yards.
