After just 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have split. Kardashian family friend and radio host Ryan Seacrest confirmed the news Monday morning.
“Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her,” he Tweeted.
Kardashian is said to have hired high profile divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has represented numerous stars including Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Maria Shriver. TMZ reports she will cite “irreconcilable differences” and list the date of separation as October 31, 2011.
Neither Kardashian nor Humphries has commented. The couple wed on August 20 after just 9 months of dating. Their extravagant wedding was taped for a two-part E! special titled Kim’s Fairytale Wedding.
