Marathon Boy, directed by Gemma Atwal, opens in theaters Thursday, October 3. The documentary chronicles the story of Budhia, a young Indian boy who is rescued from poverty by judo coach Biranchi Das. Das helps Budhia grow his natural gift for long-distance running, but when the 4-year-old fails in a 65 kilometer run both Das and Budhia find themselves caught up in controversy and scandal.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 38 minutes and is not rated.
