Ozzy’s risky plan succeeded in its first step but ultimately failed in its overall goal. Last week, the Survivor alum convinced his tribe to vote him out so he could beat Christine on Redemption Island. If he beats Christine, Savaii and Upolu would go into the merge with equal numbers. Ozzy succeeded in sending Christine packing and the merge happened as predicted. The new Te Tuna tribe was formed with six Savaii members and six Upolu members.
Cochran had long felt disrespected and ostracized from Savaii, so he saw the merge as an opportunity to make his own moves. He approached Coach, Albert, Sophie, Edna, Rick and Brandon about voting with them this week to knock out a Savaii member. They were open to the plan and said they would welcome Cochran if he proved himself this week.
For the immunity challenge, each castaway had to balance coconuts between two ropes while standing on a narrow board. The last guy standing and the last girl standing won immunity. Savaii came out on top with Dawn and Ozzy winning immunity.
Back at camp, the Savaii members decided to vote for Rick while Upolu decided on Keith. If the votes remained deadlocked twice, the elimination would be determined by stones. Whoever picked the colored rock would be sent packing. Savaii is confident that one of the Upolu members will go home because they have two immunity necklaces and Ozzy plays his hidden idol for Whitney. What they did not count on was Cochran flipping after the first vote. Cochran was the deciding vote that sent Keith to Redemption Island.
