As reported in the Tampa Bay Biz Journal last week, a crowd of over 150 business people gathered at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites on Clearwater Beach to hear Alex Sanchez, president and chief executive officer of the Florida Bankers Association, give a keynote speech at the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce’s economic forecasting summit.
His message “Banking on your Business” gave assurance to businesses that Floridian’s should live within their means, stay calm and confident. “Bankers still want to make loans and most bankers are working with ‘folks in need,’” he said. “If a banker does not make loans the bank does not make money.”
