Windy Town Releases ‘Bach On Synthesizers’

Music from the Well Tempered Clavier

Michael Droste, a composer and musician from Illinois, released an album called "Bach On Synthesizers." "Much research has been done, about the positive effects of the baroque period music on the mind and the resulting measurable increases in brain activity. Combine that result, with the interesting sounds of synthesizers, and you are able to hear the different parts of Bach’s music easier!" said Droste. He stated, “You can hear the counterpoint and echoes easier as it is done by a different sound." This truly beautiful music can change your mood and the mood of others. True art, truly beautiful music, can change the world.

"Call your pet over to the couch, lie back, close your eyes or take out your favorite book, and relax as you listen to one of the greatest composers of all time." said Droste A wide variety of music, including some by Bach, was sent into the far reaches of outer space on the two Voyager spacecrafts in the 1970s. When eminent biologist and author Lewis Thomas was asked what music he would want sent from Earth into outer space he answered, "I would send the complete works of Johann Sebastian Bach." After a pause he added, "But that would be boasting."

The album Bach On Synthesizers by Michael Droste is available through the iTunes, Amazon and other online music retailers.
