Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta named Shannon Russo of Kinetix, as an Inaugural Changing The World Awards 2011 Honoree

The Girls Scouts of Greater Atlanta (GSGATL) named Shannon W Russo, CEO of Kinetix, the RPO firm for growth companies, as one the 2011 honorees for the inaugural Changing the World Awards, on November 2, 2011.

Girl Scouts was founded in Savannah, Georgia in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low.  The organization currently has 3.2 million members and 50 million Alumnae in the United States. The Changing the World Awards will honor members and alumnae who are making a significant difference in the Atlanta community and world.

The Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta have released the following statement about Russo’s nomination:

“Due to her fantastic leadership and operational expertise,
Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta will be presenting Shannon W. Russo, CEO of Kinetix an Alumnae achievement award at the Changing the World Awards Luncheon.

Applying the same tenacity she used to summit Mt. Rainier in 2007, and the discipline required to become a Nidan in Karate, Kinetix CEO Shannon Russo has helped grow the company into one of the premier, full-service talent acquisition and consulting firms in the country. In her role as CEO, Shannon applies her leadership and operational expertise to guide the strategic direction of Kinetix. Previously, Shannon was a Corporate Officer and Vice President of Finance at Spherion Corporation. She also held management positions at large, publicly-traded companies such as W.R. Grace & Co., and Kidder, Peabody Incorporated. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics Management at Ohio Wesleyan University.”

Russo was one of six senior Alumnae members recognized for lifetime achievement and is honored to have taken part in the inaugural awards luncheon that kicked off the 100 years of Girl Scouting series.
