Last night’s Survivor was a double elimination episode in which two castaways were sent to Redemption Island for a three-way duel was Keith. The episode starts with the aftermath of last week’s tribal council. Ozzy, Whitney and Jim are understandably upset about Cochran flipping to the former Upolu tribe, but each attack the Harvard student on a personal level. Ozzy calls him a “weiner” while Whitney says Cochran “disgusts” her and Jim repeatedly calls him a coward. Cochran tried to explain his reasons for flipping, but the former Savaii members wouldn’t listen.
The remaining Savaii members realize they will likely get picked off one by one. The immunity challenge is their only chance for safety. The first immunity challenge was broken in to two parts. For the first part, the castaways had to land a coconut in a hole. The first four to land a coconut moved on to part two. For part two, the four castaways had to smash a coconut, hold the coconut water in their mouths while going through an obstacle course, and then spit it out in a tube. The first person to fill their tube with coconut water won immunity. Sophie, Jim, Dawn and Whitney won part one and moved on to part two. Sophie and Jim stayed close throughout the challenge, but Jim pulled through for the win.
Back at camp, Jim, Ozzy, Whitney and Dawn realize they have no power in the game now. Jim comes up with a plan to give Ozzy his immunity necklace and try to talk at least two of the Upolu members in to voting for Edna. Jim changes his mind at tribal council and Ozzy is sent to redemption island.
For the second immunity challenge, the castaways had to balance on a thin board while balancing a ball on a curved board. The last person standing wins immunity. Before the challenge, Jeff gives everyone the opportunity to sit out for food. All former Upolu members as well as Cochran sit out to eat. Only Dawn, Whitney and Jim compete. Jim is the first out and is followed by Dawn. Whitney wins immunity.
At tribal council, the former Upolu stick together once again and Jim is sent to Redemption Island.
