Reality star Shayne Lamas became a mom last Friday. Lamas’ husband, TheDirty.com founder Nik Richie, confirmed she gave birth to a healthy baby girl after more than 10 hours of labor. Press Dahl Lamas-Richie was born at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, California. She is the first child for the couple, who wed in April 2010.
"I feel blessed today," Richie told E! News. "[She] is the coolest baby in the history of female kind. She doesn't even cry and she has the prettiest eyelashes."
"The delivery was intense," he added. "Shayne was in labor for over 10 hours. Her contractions were a nightmare. Shayne is glowing and I am truly proud of her.”
Lamas, 26, recently explained to E! how Press got her name. “Her name came to us at the beginning of my pregnancy, because she was getting so much press,” she said. “It started as a joke, her nickname was ‘Press Baby,’ but when we found out it was a girl, suddenly that was her name—her name was going to be Press!
Lamas, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, is perhaps best known for becoming engaged to Matt Grant on season 12 of The Bachelor. She and Grant split in July 2008.
